Today Jacob got a baseball glove, helmet, hat, and a baseball. Tomorrow is his fist practice; I hope it's a good growing experience for him.

This last weekend we went to Pendleton for Aliona's 15th birthday. It was a lot of fun to see everyone, but I didn't get any pictures of everyone :(. Here's a couple of the Wittig/Kiepke crew, who spent about 1/2 of their waking hours in the pool:

We decided that we should try to start to try to start (yes, try to try) to do some family history. We logged into family search and I was looking at my family tree - without any effort on my own, in one branch I could go back 31 generations (I'm 32, our kids are 33). I'm sure there are other branches that go back further - that is some serious genealogy... where do I even start? Oh, one branch only goes back 1 generation, so I guess I could add some grandparents :)

The next day we discovered that you need to remove the plug for the dishwasher :) (I read about this, but completely forgot to do so!)

The next weekend we upgraded the faucet:

 Incidentally I was looking at our credit card bill and I think Home Depot is going to really love us.

We had The Amazing Spider-Man from Netflix for the last couple of weeks (we were moving and the kids really liked it, so we held on to it for a little longer than normal). We finally put it in the mail, and this is what Makaylin tells Rachel: "Get The Amazing Spider-Man out of the mail. Cause you're making me so sad."

Ethan and I went to a high school basketball game the other night for our date night. When I told Ethan what we were doing he started crying (mostly fake tears) saying that he wanted to go and do something fun. We picked up some candy on the way and some popcorn and tootsie pops at the game. We got there part way through the first quarter and stayed through most of the third. It wasn't too bad, I think he even enjoyed some of it. I didn't get any good pictures.
